Hell, I even picked up Street Fighter the other day (JVD version) for $3.00 and was happy about it.

But even if I didn't have my BA in Film, I could still tell you that I wouldn't want to see this film. Or like with 2012. I can't stand Independance Day, I hated Godzilla (1998), and I disliked The Patriot. So, I passed on The Day After Tomorrow and 20,000 B.C.
And really, I don't think I am missing anything. So, when I saw a trailer for 2012, I had no intention of seeing it. Had it not been for the group that I was going with, I would have never see 2012. But I did, and I thought it was stupid, just like I suspected it would be.

I love movies, and please believe that I am a movie lover, because I do love a lot of movies. But I do think sometimes that CGI is the death of cinema. It is way over done in most films. I think that filmmakers could make more films that take risks. And so I yawn most times when some really campy, CGI, event film is about to come out.

If my reviews seem analytical, it is because if I don't like a movie I am trying to pin point what about the film that I didn't like so that my opinion on it seems more valid than just saying, "Dumb."

I do think that it is good to have multiple perspectives on one site. And it is healthy to have these discussions. But please, I love movies more than people realize. However, I just don't love every film that Disney and Jon Turtletaub put out.

I'm beginning to wonder if you enjoy movies just t...

I'm beginning to wonder if you enjoy movies just to enjoy them anymore. I don't know, I have a hard time getting excited about anything that looks really cheesey. And especially a film directed by Jon Turteltaub. I am surprised that the don't just have Steven Summers direct this.
